Coreopsis ‘Daybreak’ Li’l Bang Daybreak Tickseed is a new long blooming tickseed with single red flowers that have a vibrant, yellow orange edge. It is bred by plantsman Darryl Probst. This Coresopsis with the trade name Li’l Bang Daybreak Tickseed is short and very compact. “Like others in the Big Bang series”, adds Skagit Gardens. “It grows only 6–10 inches tall with a spread of 18 inches. It is very adaptable as long as drainage is good. This tickseed does not reseed.” Li’l Bang Daybreak Tickseed is recommended by this nursery for use in containers, smaller gardens or the front of a sunny border.
Skagit Gardens will enter the new tickseed at the New Varieties Showcase of the US Farwest Trade Show which will be held later this month (August 22-24). It will be available at Skagit Gardens as 128-cell liners and #1 containers.
