Australian based Ramm Botanicals nursery has introduced the new succulent Kleinia Trident Blue. This succulent is described by the company as an easy-care ground cover with powdery blue-grey leaves that display in an intriguing shape. It is bred by Attila Kapitany for Australian conditions. Trident Blue should be is easy to grow, has low water needs and very low maintenance requirements. “Trident Blue’s interesting foliage – thick, elongated leaves that are a fantastic blue-grey colour – have a glaucous, powdery finish and come to a point in a fascinating lance-like shape, similar to the mythical Greek God Poseidon’s trident. With chalky blue tridents that retain their colour all year round, Trident Blue is set apart from similar varieties and is an absolute stand out in the landscape. Spreading up to 1 meter-wide, Trident Blue is well suited for mass plantings or as a feature plant among other bold colours to really show off the foliage form and colour.”
Ramm Botanicals will donate for every Trident Blue plant sold in Australia 10c to Beyondblue. Beyondblue is an organisation that is dedicated to providing information and support on mental health to all Australians.
