Terra Nova and Dümmen Orange partner on URC production

Terra Nova Nurseries in Canby, Oregon (US) has contracted with Dümmen Orange to produce unrooted cuttings from Terra Nova’s private stock located at Dümmen Orange’s Central America facilities. US trade magazine Greenhouse Grower mentions this new partnership one of the big stories that came out of Cultivate’17, the North American trade show which was held earlier this month in Columbus, Ohio. The unrooted cuttings (URCs) will fulfil orders in North America and Europe, and, official URC production will begin in week 40, 2017.
Greenhouse Grower also reports that Savannah International, Ltd., located in Kenya, which is the former North America supplier of Terra Nova Nurseries’ URCs, will continue to hold a license to sell the URCs outside North America.
According to Ken Brown, General Manager and Co-Owner of Terra Nova Nurseries. Savannah International, Ltd. will continue to supply quality URCs of the company’s stock beyond North America.”
Long-time licensee
Dümmen Orange has been a long-time Terra Nova Nurseries licensee and has gained much experience growing the stock and selling the cuttings into the global market. “This made the new contract production agreement between Dümmen Orange and Terra Nova Nurseries a palpable and advantageous choice for both companies”, Brown told to editor Brian Sparks.
Dümmen Orange’s headquarters in Netherlands confirmed the agreement with Terra Nova Nurseries.
