Rose breeder Robert Harkness died

November 8, Robert Harkness, director at UK based Harkness Roses died at the age of 61. After selling the Harkness Garden Centre in the nineties he focused fully on the rose business. He bred more than seventy rose varieties. One of his best-known varieties is Princess of Wales, a floribunda introduced in 1997.
