Dutch grower Gova, specialized in Laurus nobilis won last week the third prize of the ‘Colour your Life Award IPM Essen 2013’. The company developed a concept which turns Laurus nobilis into a gift for several occasions. Gova supplies all the point of sales material. As the nursery develops and creates the material for this gift concept itself, language is no issue. At the moment Gova runs the concept already in twelve different languages.
“Our customers demand more and more complete concepts”, states Jack Goossens of Gova nursery and refers to the sales of the upcoming spring. The gift concept now already generates more orders than the sales of ‘bare’ Laurus nobilis. The concepts Wellness, Easter, Authentic and Vita Certa are most popular. Vita Certa stands for ‘food you can trust’. Last December, Laurus nobilis with a touch of X-mas has been quite successful in England and Ireland.

Colour your Life was an initiative from Plant Publicity Holland (PPH). Promotion organisations in other countries joined forces with PPH. After PPH had to terminate all activities at the beginning of this year, Flower Council Holland took over Colour your Life. The award in the IPM was an initiative from the trade fair organisation and the flower council.
