European royalty management agency Plantipp and its sister agency for the North American market Concept Plants announce in their combined December 2017 newsletter the debut of Nepeta ‘Bokratune’, trade name Neptune Nepeta. Neptune is bred by Kees Jan Kraan from Dutch nursery Boot & Co. He selected it for its big flowers on a dwarf growing plant. Nepeta Neptune is described as a versatile perennial. “With its large, blue flowers and compact growth habit, it is a wonderful plant for the garden or border, as a solitary or in a mixed container. The firm blue foliage can also be used to make tea out of it. Neptune becomes 20-30 cm high and 20 cm wide.”
In the US URCs for trials can be ordered from Pieter@2plant.com and in Europe, Marco@gebr-alkemade.nl.
