A month ago the Dutch based Hydrangea Breeders Association (HBA) announced the acquirement of an interest in the hydrangea breeding program of K├╝hne Gbr in Germany [read more]. Now Dutch based Horteve Breeding and Kolster announced intensifying their collaboration. Both companies already co-operated. Kolster (known for Magical Plants and Flowers and Hydrangeas for the cut flower industry) will participate for 50% in the breeding activities of Horteve Breeding (breeder of potted and indoor Hydrangeas). All Hydrangea breeding activities of both companies will now be integrated. Through this new collaboration, both companies expect to significantly strengthen their position in the global hydrangea market.
